As a kid, I loved coloring—it was my favorite part of drawing class, and I'd spend hours filling pages with color, even using the backs of magazines and newspapers. That passion for art stayed with me and later led me to study architectural design, where I learned to sketch buildings and scenes.
After moving to New Zealand, I got involved in graphic design, which reignited my love for drawing. I began sketching daily, capturing moments from city life, rainy days, street scenes, and small everyday moments that inspired me. Eventually, I became fascinated by the ocean and its hidden world.

Where to buy Ocean Wonders?
What inspired me to create this book?
A fishing trip off the coast of Palm Beach, where I saw sharks, flying fish, and a sleek tuna, first sparked my fascination with the ocean. Around the same time, a whale documentary and a visit to the Miami Seaquarium left me in awe of marine life. These unforgettable experiences inspired me to create a book that blends my love for art and the sea—offering kids a fun and educational way to explore the wonders of the underwater world through creativity.
Why being an author is meaningful to me.
To me, being an author is all about sharing stories, ideas, and imagination—especially with children. As the author of a drawing book, I get to do something truly special: inspire kids to explore their creativity, learn something new, and have fun along the way.
It’s not just about writing or drawing—it’s about creating a little world that invites children in. A world where they can color, wonder, and imagine anything they like… maybe even fish that fly or whales that sing!
I love the thought that a book I created might encourage a child to pick up a pencil, dream about the ocean, or even start telling their own stories one day. Being an author means being part of a child’s creative journey—and that’s the most magical part of all.
